Cowboys and Community Score Under New Bravus Deal
7 September 2022
Bravus Mining and Resources is backing its North Queensland Cowboys family on and off the field with the Townsville headquartered business today extending its Platinum Partnership agreement with the Club to support both on-field performance and the Adopt-A-School community program. Bravus Mining and Resources Head of Community Kate Campbell said the new agreement will take Bravus’ association with the Club to seven years of working in partnership for the benefit of regional Queensland. “Bravus and the Cowboys are both organisations dedicated to the advancement and success of regional Queensland and its people,” Ms Campbell said. “Our team members are big fans of what the Cowboys do on the field and going to the stadium, the pub, or gathering around the TV at home or onsite to cheer them on is something that brings communities together. “But it’s also the work the players do off the field to build young lives as ambassadors for better school attendance, study, and health and fitness that we find so invaluable. “That’s why supporting the Cowboys’ Adopt-A-School program is at the heart of our partnership.” The Cowboys average more than 650 visits to participating North Queensland schools each year as part of the Adopt-A-School program. During the visits the players join students in curriculum-based activities, sporting clinics, presentation nights and school assemblies with an overarching 'Eat Well, Play Well, Stay Well' message. North Queensland Cowboys CEO Jeff Reibel and players Heilum Luki and Mitchell Dunn joined Ms Campbell to celebrate Bravus’ renewal at the Club’s training session on the eve of 2022 NRL Finals Series. Mr Reibel said the Club was excited to continue to partner with a company that held the shared value of giving back to North Queenslanders. “We are thrilled to have Bravus continue their Platinum Partnership with the Cowboys,” Mr Reibel said. “Beyond the major economic contributions the business has made for North Queenslanders, the benefits of the energy the Bravus team has brought to our Adopt-A-School community program are undeniable. “We’re proud of have the Bravus brand feature on our jerseys for the third year running and thank them for their ongoing support of our Club and region.” ENDS Download PDF...
