Community partnerships

We have a long and proud history of supporting the communities in which we operate through long-term partnerships that make a positive and sustainable contribution.

We are supporters of the North Queensland Cowboys, regional Queensland’s only National Rugby League team, as a Platinum Partner and presenting partner of the Cowboy’s longest running community program, Adopt-A-School.

We’re committed to providing grants and sponsorship to support regional Queensland communities and create opportunities that they otherwise would not have had.

Bravus’ Platinum Partnership with the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys

In November 2020, Adani Mining marked the 10-year anniversary of our operations in Australia by launching a new Australian brand for our mining business, Bravus Mining and Resources, and becoming a Platinum Partner of the North Queensland Cowboys.

We have made a significant investment in Queensland and we will be here for the long haul employing local people and doing business in Australia.

We are proud to be a dedicated Australian company that is part of the central and north Queensland communities, and our partnership with the Cowboys is the icing on the cake.

Bravus commenced its partnership with the Cowboys as a sponsor of the Try for 5! Program in 2019. Our support for the Adopt-a-School Program commenced in 2020, which helps children get a strong start in life through education.

Community Grant Program

Our Community Grant Program supports grassroots initiatives, events and projects in the regional Queensland communities where our people live and work. Through four annual grant rounds, the program provides funding and support to local community groups and not-for-profit organisations. This program is based on our previous Community Partnership Program and aligns with the key priorities of our communities and our employees.

Grants are awarded quarterly as follows:

  • Round 1 – closes 15 March
  • Round 2 – closes 15 June
  • Round 3 – closes 15 September
  • Round 4 – 1 December 2025
